Nowadays, Research & Development are key factors in the growth of an enterprise, especially in a market as competitive as the one that Caucho Metal Productos competes in. It is for this reason that most of our company's efforts are focused on product development and R&D.

 

Subsequently, we have a highly innovative Technical Centre, based in Logroño, which represents 10% of total built area of all plants, and where we gather all our efforts in terms of Research, Development, Engineering and Quality, providing all the necessary technical, economical and human resources to generate the know-how for development and manufacturing of new products, as well as all the necessary calculation, simulation and testing tools.

 

At a technical level, we have a simulation and calculation laboratory with the design and development tools such as CAD, I-DEAS, PRO-ENGINEER, UNIGRAPHICS and CATIA, as well as specific elastomer materials software such as MARK + and MENTAT. We also have REP injection machines, compression vulcanizing presses and calibration and assembling machines, providing us with a great capacity for prototypes development.

All the information relating to the development of the product is managed with PLM “Team Center”.

 

The workforce consists of more than 20 graduate professionals who exclusively work in product research, design and development. We also have external collaborators such as the “Centro Politecnico Superior” from the Zaragoza University , the “Instituto Tecnologico de Aragon (ITA)”, the University of La Rioja , the Spanish “Centro de Estudios e Investigaciones Técnicas (CEIT)” .
